Love to dance

7 Jan 2019

What better way to celebrate life than by having a boogie on the dance floor? Show off your best moves at some of our favourite dance events taking place as part of NSW Seniors Festival.

Singleton Seniors Festival Rock’n’Roll Dance & Supper

Get ready to dance with the Red River Roosters at Singleton Golf Club at this old time rock’n’roll dance and supper.

Ballet for Better Balance 55+

Little or no ballet experience? No problems! Experience a traditional ballet class at the Dancing for Wellbeing School in Lindfield. Learn at a gentle pace, all while improving feet dexterity, proprioception and posture.

Bush Dance Taster

Start with a quick dance lesson before the weekly bush dance at Wongawilli Community Hall. All dances are walked through and called; no partner needed.

Dance for Seniors

Explore dance and movement while improving stability and coordination with a professional dancer in Baulkham Hills. There’s also a special session for people with Parkinson’s disease and their carers.

Dance It Up

Try out a range of dance styles at this event in Wentworthville, with demonstrations and participation in ballroom, line and tap dancing. Plus, stay for trivia and karaoke after lunch.

Old Time Dance for Seniors

Come together with the community in Bathurst and enjoy this old style barn dance at Bathurst RSL Club.

These and lots more events can be found on our website. Can’t see an event near you? Contact your local council to ask what’s on.

If you’re organising an event as part of NSW Seniors Festival, don’t forget to submit your event so we can help promote it.
